Two Events, One Vision: Shaping and Exploring the Future of Cities with Digital Twins

The Urban Digital Twin Days Hamburg 2025 combine two complementary events: the practice-oriented “CUT Innovations” on April 1st and the international scientific conference “Urban Digital Twins For a Sustainable Transformation of Cities” on April 2 and 3, 2025.

The events create a platform that combines science and practice to explore and shape the opportunities of digital twins for urban spaces and systems.

Focus: CUT Innovations presents practical solutions and innovative approaches for the use of urban digital twins, which you can experience for yourself on site and try out directly. You can also take advantage of the many networking opportunities with experts in cities and municipalities.

April 2-3, 2025 | Urban Digital Twins for a Sustainable Transformation of Cities – Scientific Conference

Focus: The scientific conference unites academia, research, and practical expertise to explore innovative approaches to urban challenges. Organized by the City Science Lab at HafenCity University Hamburg, the event fosters reflection and dialogue on the role of Digital Twins in advancing urban transformation towards sustainability and resilience.

Date and Time: Wednesday, April 2, 2025: 9 AM to 8 PM and Thursday, April 3, 2025: 9 AM to 6 PM

The Urban Digital Twin Days 2025 are organized as part of the Connected Urban Twins (CUT) project which is funded by the German government as a Smart City model project. The aim of the CUT project is to develop innovative solutions and approaches for the use of digital twins in cities and to promote the knowledge transfer on the topic. The Urban Digital Twin Days are organized by the project partners in Hamburg: CityScienceLab of HafenCity University, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, the State Office for Geoinformation and Surveying and the Senate Chancellery.
