The Matthäikirchhof site, which has seen limited use to date, is poised to undergo a transformation in the coming years, becoming a vibrant neighborhood and a vibrant place of living democracy in the heart of Leipzig’s city center. Since 2021, Leipzig’s urban society has been actively involved in the project through a comprehensive participation process, enabling them to significantly influence the future direction of the site. This article provides a professional and technical insight into the project.
