DIPAS User Community – Further Developing Digital Participation in a Collaborative and Cross-city Manner

Content

The DIPAS user community is a network of local authorities that use, support and further develop the DIPAS digital participation system. The CUT Academy aims to explain how the community came into being, what structures have been established, and how these are put into practice. It also aims to demonstrate how these structures can be adapted for use in other development and implementation partnerships.

The Key Learnings

A community needs clear structures and centralised management.

A small number of clear points of contact are needed for specific issues.

A modular approach, combined with features for customisation and configuration, enables you to replicate it successfully.

Self-sustaining funding model

The funding model should be designed in such a way that the community can become self-sustaining in the medium to long term without seeking to make a profit.

Do good and talk about it!

Visibility attracts new members. Not every town needs to come up with its own solution to similar or identical problems. This helps to save resources.
