Online-Demos zu CityGML 3.0

"The following demos show street models for different cities including the area around TU Munich, Grafing, Tokyo, New York City and Melbourne. The 3DCityDB Web-Map-Client is a web based front-end for 3D visualization and interactive exploration of semantic 3D city models."

The Key Learnings

New and Revised Modules

In addition to revised modules such as CityGML Core, Generics, Building, and Transportation, CityGML 3.0 also features new modules such as Dynamizer, Versioning, PointCloud, and Construction.

New Concepts for Spaces and Spatial Boundaries

All city objects are now based on the concept of Space and SpaceBoundary, with all geometries bound to them.

Interior Modeling Without LOD4

CityGML 3.0 facilitates interior modeling at any LOD. This eliminates the need for LOD4.

Modelling Changes

The Dynamizer module handles fast, dynamic changes, while the Versioning module captures slow changes.

Improved Display of Transport Infrastructure

CityGML 3.0 allows for a detailed representation of the street space as part of a standardized and consistent semantic 3D City Model.
